If you've bothered to check out these rules, then you probably wouldn't have a problem here to begin with (unless you have a habit of breaking rules!). We are very laid-back people here at Cymbria, and these rules are not meant to scare or deter you from coming here, but rather are for the benefit of all responsible campers. GENERAL: 1. We will give a MAXIMUM of 1 warning for any rule violations (at the discretion of our staff), and you will be escorted off the premises without refund and with loss of deposit. END OF DEBATE. 2. Our management and staff reserves the right to refuse entry to Cymbria Campground to anyone for any reason. 3. You will have respect for our staff, other campers, our facilities, and nature at all times. 4. Absolutely no littering... you will also be required to sort your own garbage (Island-wide recycling). 5. Campers in 3-way sites will be responsible for the repair cost and clean up of any sewer backup damage caused by flushing inappropriate items such as diapers etc... or because it has been determined that their sewer line extended more than 8 inches (10 cm) below ground level (ideally you should have an attachment designed to prevent this- available at almost any camp shop or hardware store). Please ask our staff for assistance if necessary. 6. Speeding will not be tolerated (MAX 5mph/ 8 km/hr). Consider yourself warned! 7. At the sole discretion of our staff, younger non-family Islanders will be admitted provided there is a minimum 2-night stay . All "group camping" will have restrictive clauses and must first be approved by management. For full details please see the FAQ page (#3) . 8. There will be NO REFUNDS for leaving a reservation early. For "walk-in"/ non-reservation customers, refunds (if any) are always made at the discretion of the management (with a minimum 48 hour notice), and will NEVER be granted because of bad weather or for any other reason out of our control (including noise or wildlife). 9. No personal cheques accepted. 10. DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE! Keep all food items securely out of reach of animals. 11. Children must be supervised at all times and use facilities and playground at own risk. 12. Pets must be kept on a leash AT ALL TIMES in public areas. "Stoop & scoop". Do not allow digging. Pets must not be left unattended for extended periods. 13. If you demand to see the owner because a staff member will not bend any of these rules, you will be asked to leave immediately without refund or deposit. We will make every effort to prosecute anyone who demonstrates aggression and/or abuse towards our staff for any reason. Complaint forms are available if you feel that your issue has not been resolved fairly by management and will be reviewed by the owner when time permits. All written complaints will receive a response within 30 days. QUIET TIME: Stereos are to be kept at a minimum volume (determined by our staff) at all times and completely OFF by 11:00pm. Quiet talk, singing, acoustic instruments (play well, not loud), and any other noise will not be permitted after 1:00am, at which time campfires and ALL activity must be completely extinguished. It is not our staff's responsibility to remind you of the time, so consider a visit from staff after 1:00am your final warning. We are one of the only campgrounds on PEI with such a late quiet time, and in order to keep it that way we MUST enforce this rule without exception. If you do not agree with this policy or think that you just might use your "super-charm powers" after a few beers trying to explain just how quiet your being then simply do not camp here. NOTE: RARE exceptions may be made to quiet time rules in the off-season if there are only a few campers and we are able to sufficiently distance you from them (contact management beforehand for permission). RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS: 1. All reservation cancellations must be made 7 days or more in advance. Failure to notify us before this period will result in a charge of all site fees on your credit card. The entire balance of your reservation is due upon check-in. Please retain your confirmation/ cancellation number for future reference. 2. There will be NO REFUNDS for leaving a reservation early. There will be absolutely no cancellations and NO refunds for any reason if a SPECIFIC site was reserved and you will not accept substitutions. 3. Weekly and monthly rates are at the discretion of management and only apply if term is paid in full at check-in. DEPOSITS: 1. Customers paying by credit card authorize Cymbria to charge a standard fee of $20.00 (or other agreed to amount in certain cases/ special events) on their card if, upon checkout, their site is not left satisfactorily according to the site inspection checklist (posted in the office and at each site). This fee will also apply to any campers who refuse to sort their own recycling, or create a mess or damage to any area of the campground. Legal action will be taken for severe cases. For these reasons, it is crucial that you inspect your site on arrival and report any problems immediately. If you fail to leave your site as you found it, you will lose your deposit. Our decision is final and not negotiable. 2. Customers paying by cash or debit will require a refundable cash or debit deposit with the same terms as credit card users above. SITE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Inspect site according to checklist upon arrival. 2. Fire pits are to stay in their original locations, and do not "borrow" tables or stones from other sites' fire pits. Camp fires must be attended at all times and extinguished before retiring. 3. Do not put waste, bottles, or anything other than wood in fire pits. Do not throw anything into the woods. 4. No washing of vehicles. 5. No more than 1 vehicle per campsite. Any other vehicles are to be parked (with free permit) in designated parking areas-no exceptions. 6. Check out at office is between 8:30am and 12:00 pm. Please make arrangements with staff if this is not possible. A late checkout fee will be applied. 7. Leave your site, washrooms, and any other area you visit as clean or cleaner than you found it. Clotheslines must be completely removed before checkout. 8. No taking live or dead wood from our wooded areas. You must inform staff upon arrival if you are bringing in your own firewood (see FAQ's). GUESTS: 1. All guests must register at office and obtain a parking pass. 2. Any guest wishing to use the pool must pay a $2.00 fee. 3. No visitors will be permitted into the campground after 10:00pm. All existing visitors must leave the campground by 11:00pm. 4. All visitors are YOUR responsibility. Any guest's violations of these or any rules will reflect directly on you and may result in loss of your camping privileges without refund and/or your deposit. |
